Open Question: Camera question. Suggestions for batteries.?

Hey I'm a 13 year old boy who is going to Costa Rica with his school for 7 days. I was going to buy a camera(http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8739966&type=product&id=1202429847854) and take lots of pictures for people who help support this. The thing is I had cameras in the past that can kill batteries and I was wondering how many batteries should I take and what specific kind should I get?
